RS 29:35 - Appropriations by parish and municipal authorities; armories The governing authorities of parishes and municipalities may appropriate and pay annually to any unit of the national guard there organized and maintained, funds to assist in defraying expenses, and they may provide free of cost a suitable and adequate armory for the national guard units organized and permanently stationed in the parish, city or town.
