RS 3:1142 - Working farms; use of prisoners The tracts of land acquired under this Part are to be constituted parish experimental farms, and the parish is to improve the property so that it may be worked by the parish in accordance with plans to be suggested by the state and United States agricultural departments. The governing authorities of the parishes may utilize parish prisoners in the working of the experimental farms.
