RS 3:2304 - Power to fight diseases and pests of bees The commissioner shall have full and plenary power to deal with all contagious and infectious diseases of bees and all other pests of bees, including but not limited to American and European Foulbrood, Acarine mite, Varroa mite, and Africanized bees. The state entomologist, through agents or otherwise, may do and perform such acts as may be necessary to control, eradicate, or prevent the introduction, spread, or dissemination of any and all contagious and infectious diseases of bees and all other pests of bees.
