RS 3:291 - Legislative findings and purpose Louisiana residents rely on Louisiana farmers and agricultural processors as their primary source of safe, nutritional, and affordable food. Furthermore, agriculture and aquaculture industries are a major source of employment for Louisiana residents. The financial survival of these industries in Louisiana is dependent on increasing markets for Louisiana products. For this reason, the legislature finds it necessary to encourage and promote markets in Louisiana for the sale of Louisiana agricultural and aquacultural products. Acts 2004, No. 271, §1.
