RS 3:3114 - Diseases and pests The commissioner shall have the full and plenary power to deal with all contagious and infectious diseases of ratites and all other pests of ratites including but not limited to internal and external parasites. The state veterinarian may do and perform such acts as may be necessary to control, eradicate, or prevent the introduction, spread, or dissemination of any and all contagious and infectious diseases of ratites and all other pests of ratites.
