RS 3:3537 - Use of funds A. After deduction from the proceeds of the assessment, the expenses of collection and administration, the board shall dedicate the balance to rice promotion. The board shall have the discretion as to what organizations and agencies to expend monies for such purposes. Use of these funds may be applied within or outside of the state of Louisiana, including regional, national, and international applications. B. Board members, and any committees of the board on which they serve, may be reimbursed for allowable expenses necessarily incurred by them in the performance of their duties, but no member shall receive a salary or per diem for the performance of his duties.
