RS 3:4232 - Commissioner of agriculture A. The commissioner of agriculture shall administer and enforce the provisions of this Chapter. B. The commissioner may employ such personnel as are necessary to enforce the provisions of this Chapter. C. The commissioner may adopt such rules and regulations as are necessary to enforce the provisions of this Chapter. All rules and regulations shall be adopted in accordance with the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act. D. The commissioner, or his representative, may take samples of carcasses, parts of carcasses, meat, or meat products in order to enforce the provisions of this Chapter.
