RS 3:4704 - Allowable use of the terms 'Cajun' and 'Louisiana Creole' No person shall, in commerce, advertise, sell, offer or expose for sale, distribute, package or in any other manner identify any services or goods as 'Cajun' or 'Louisiana Creole' unless: the services or goods originate in, are substantially connected with, or have been substantially transformed in the state of Louisiana; or the goods would qualify for the ten percent preference pursuant to R.S. 39:1595 for products produced, manufactured, assembled, grown, or harvested in Louisiana.
