RS 30:2102 - Policy; purpose The legislature finds and declares that the supervision and control of the development and operation of nuclear energy and radiation emitting processes and facilities are of vital concern to the welfare of the citizens of the state of Louisiana, as well as to the protection of the environmental resources within the state. To insure the safety and welfare of the people and environmental resources of Louisiana in this regard, it is necessary to provide for an efficient system to regulate and control the development and utilization of all sources of radiation within the state of Louisiana.
