RS 33:1817 - Grounds for removal Subject to the provisions of any applicable civil service law, the deputy commissioners, departmental heads, or employees, shall be liable to removal from office only for high crimes and misdemeanors in office, incompetency, corruption, favoritism, extortion, or oppression in office, and for gross misconduct or habitual drunkenness.
