RS 33:191 - Contiguous municipalities in same parish may consolidate Any two contiguous municipalities, lying in the same parish, may consolidate and become one municipality in the manner provided in this Subpart. For this purpose municipalities separated only by a river or other stream or body of water not more than two miles in width shall be deemed to be contiguous.
