RS 33:2196 - Rules and regulations; status of policemen on roll January 1, 1928 The superintendent of police or commanding officer of the department may adopt regulations for the government of the department except substitutes. All members of the department whose names appear on the rolls thereof on January 1, 1928 are recognized as regularly appointed members of the department.
