RS 33:222 - Contracts; transfer of facilities The parties may provide in the contract that in order to avoid unnecessary duplication of facilities either party will convey its respective facilities in the annexed area to the party granted exclusive jurisdiction over the area for the purpose of serving the inhabitants thereof. Such reasonable compensation as is agreed upon by the parties shall be paid in consideration for the transfer, and no such conveyance shall be made without such compensation or in such a manner as to impair any outstanding obligations of either party.
