RS 33:3532 - Final inspection; payment of contractor The governing authority of any municipality taking advantage of the provisions of this Sub-part, shall, upon the completion of any contract awarded as provided for herein, provide for the final inspection of the work performed and the improvements made, and if the work is found to have been completed satisfactorily in accordance with the contract, as evidenced by a certificate of the engineer for the municipality, the governing authority shall, by ordinance, approve and accept the work and fulfill their obligations under the contract by full payment of all amounts due the contractor, including all retained percentages of payments previously made thereon on engineer's estimates, which percentages were retained pending the completion of the work.
