RS 33:3726 - Recovery of damages not arising from servitude If, between the time of the passage of the ordinance and the widening of the street, the owners of land abutting the building line are damaged by the passage of the ordinance in any manner other than by taking of the servitude in the land, each shall have a right of action against the municipality for any damages; provided, however, that the action shall be brought within one year from the time it accrues, except that persons under legal disability may bring the action within such time as may be provided by law.
