RS 33:3743 - Curtailing width of street Municipalities having a population less than seventy-five thousand and more than twenty-five thousand may curtail the width of any street or alley and sell the part not needed or exchange it for other ground to be used for street purposes as an equivalent for the strip of street not needed, provided that prior to the exchange a majority of the property taxpayers in the municipality voting at an election to be called for that purpose, approve the proposed sale or exchange.
