RS 33:4067.1 - Receipt and disbursement of unclaimed water deposits; St. Bernard Parish Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, in St. Bernard Parish, any water deposits collected by a water and sewerage commission which are unclaimed or abandoned after one year after services are terminated shall be deposited to the credit of the commission. However, such deposit to the credit of the commission shall not affect any person's right to reclaim a water deposit. The commission shall report all such unclaimed or abandoned property to the administrator of the Uniform Unclaimed Property Act of 1997 in accordance with R.S. 9:159, and the department shall publish notice of such property in accordance with applicable provisions of R.S. 9:161.
