RS 33:4168.1 - Prohibition of municipally owned, operated, or contracted incinerators in residential or commercial areas; certain municipalities Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, no municipality with a population of more than five hundred thousand shall maintain any municipally owned, operated, or contracted garbage plants or incinerators in any area of the municipality zoned for residential or commercial use. Any such garbage plant or incinerator located in any such area on September 1, 1984 shall be relocated within one year pursuant to this Section. Acts 1984, No. 517, §1, eff. Sept. 1, 1984.
