RS 33:4345 - Election returns; promulgation of result The returns of elections held hereunder shall be made to the governing authority ordering them. They shall be canvassed, counted, and tabulated and the result declared by the governing authority on the day following the election. The result shall be promulgated not later than two weeks by one publication in the official journal of the municipality or parish, or, in the absence of an official journal, by one publication in a newspaper published in the parish, or in the absence of both, by posting one time in a conspicuous place in the municipality or parish.
