RS 33:447.10 - Mayor's court; town of Lockport; additional court costs Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the mayor of the town of Lockport may also impose additional court costs not to exceed forty dollars for each offense, as defined by ordinance, on any defendant convicted of a violation of a municipal ordinance. Any additional amount in court costs collected pursuant to this Section shall be allocated to the town of Lockport to be used for the purchase, repair, and replacement of law enforcement equipment and technological upgrades for the town of Lockport and the Lockport Police Department.
