RS 33:4501 - Licensing drivers of public vehicles for hire in cities of 10,000 to 100,000 All municipal corporations having a population of more than 10,000 inhabitants and less than 100,000 inhabitants, may: (1) issue licenses to all drivers of public vehicles for hire, (2) provide that no person shall drive a public vehicle for hire without a license, (3) provide a standard of qualifications of all such drivers, (4) provide who shall be licensed as drivers, (5) revoke licenses for cause, and (6) provide penalties for the violation of any laws passed under the power hereby delegated.
