RS 33:4509 - Violations and penalties If any carrier or public utility operating trackless trolleys or motor busses under a franchise granted by the municipality shall violate any of the rates, tolls, fares, charges or orders of the municipality, such carrier or public utility shall forfeit and pay a penalty to the municipality of not less than one hundred dollars, nor more than one thousand dollars, for each violation, to be recovered, before any court of competent jurisdiction, at the suit of the municipality.
