RS 33:4731 - Regulating building construction and limiting business areas in municipalities of over 50,000 The governing authority of municipalities of more than fifty thousand inhabitants may by ordinance define and regulate the kind, style, and manner of construction of buildings and other edifices which may be erected on certain designated streets and thoroughfares and may permit or prohibit the establishment and operation of businesses and trades within designated limits.
