RS 33:4770.13 - Stagnant water and unsanitary conditions Upon adoption of ordinances by the governing authority the city courts are empowered to order the owner of lots and other real property to eliminate, fill up, or remove stagnant pools of water or any other unsanitary thing, place, or condition which might become a breeding place for mosquitoes, flies, vermin, and germs harmful to the health of the community. The city council may require the re-inspection of such premises. Acts 2003, No. 546, §1.
