RS 33:4811 - Ordering removal of remains of dead interred in residential area Whenever it appears to the police jury of any parish, that it is in the interest of the public health that the remains of any dead interred in any part of a residential subdivision of the parish, not within the limits of a municipality, should be removed from the area, it may, by an ordinance, adopted by a majority vote at any regular meeting, order the removal of the remains in the manner hereinafter set forth, provided that the area from which the removal is ordered is not a regularly dedicated cemetery, and provided, further, that there is no act of sale of record in the office of the clerk of court of the parish, transferring or dedicating the property for burial purposes.
