RS 33:7572 - Beachfront development districts, objects and purposes The objects and purposes of any beachfront development district created pursuant to this Chapter shall be to maintain and preserve beaches for use and enjoyment of the citizens and to develop, operate, and maintain recreational facilities and provide for related activities to promote recreation, outdoor activities, and water sports on beaches within the district for the residents of the parish or parishes and visitors to the district.
