RS 33:9039.101 - Short title This Chapter shall be known and may be cited as the 'Local and Regional Economic Development District Act'. Acts 2006, No. 839, §1, eff. July 5, 2006. NOTE: See Acts 2006, No. 839, §2, which provides that this Chapter 27-G does not supersede Chapter 27 to the extent not in conflict but is supplemental thereto and §3 which prohibits a parish which has established a parishwide economic development district prior to July 5, 2006, from creating a district pursuant to Act 839 except a regional or multiparish district created by more than one parish.
