RS 33:9503 - Board of commissioners; membership; qualifications; terms When any such animal control district is created, the governing authority of St. Tammany Parish shall appoint a board of commissioners, composed of five members, to govern its affairs, and shall fix the domicile of the board within the district. The members of the board shall be qualified electors of the district, two of whom shall be appointed for terms of two years and three for terms of three years, dating from the date of the adoption of the ordinance creating the district. Thereafter, all appointments of the members shall be for terms of three years. Board members shall serve without compensation. Acts 1993, No. 816, §1, eff. June 22, 1993.
