RS 34:1002 - Violations and penalties Anyone attempting to exercise the functions herein vested in the said river port pilots, who has not been commissioned by the governor, shall be fined not less than one thousand five hundred dollars, nor more than five thousand dollars, or imprisoned not less than thirty days, nor more than four months, or both, at the discretion of the court in whose jurisdiction the offense is committed.
