RS 34:2028 - Right to expropriate The Jefferson Parish Economic Development and Port District may acquire by expropriation, in accordance with the expropriation laws of the state, any properties necessary for its public purposes; however, said commission shall not have the right to expropriate minerals or mineral rights, nor the property or facilities of public utilities or communications companies.
