RS 34:404 - Officers and employees of board The board of commissioners shall elect a president and a vice-president from among their number, who shall serve for a term of not more than two years, and a secretary who may or may not be a member of the board. The board shall employ such other officers, attorneys, engineers and employees as may, in its discretion, be necessary, and fix their compensation.
