RS 34:802 - Injury or damage by careless navigation; privilege on vessels In all cases where any injury, loss or damage is caused or occasioned within the territorial jurisdiction of the State of Louisiana to the person or property of any person by carelessness, neglect or want of skill in the navigation, direction or management of any vessel, the person suffering such injury shall have a first lien and privilege on the offending vessel for the amount of the injury, loss or damage.
