RS 34:947 - Misconduct of pilots, board of examiners' duty to report The board of examiners shall report to the governor any neglect of duty, drunkenness, carelessness, habitual intemperance, incompetency, unreasonable absence from duty, or general bad conduct on the part of any bar pilot showing that the pilot should be removed or suspended. Upon receipt of this report the governor may revoke or suspend the commission of the pilot, reprimand him, or take any other action that he may deem proper.
