RS 36:641 - Statement of purpose In furtherance of its constitutional mandate to provide for the education of the people of the state and to establish and maintain a public educational system and to allocate within not more than twenty departments the functions and responsibilities of all offices and agencies within the executive branch of state government, the legislature enacts this Chapter.
