RS 36:644 - State superintendent of education The state superintendent of education shall serve as the executive head and chief administrative officer of the Department of Education and shall have the responsibility for implementing educational policies, except as otherwise provided by this Title, and for the administration, control, and operation of the functions, programs, and affairs of the department to the extent provided by this Title.
