RS 36:723 - Executive secretary There shall be an executive secretary of the Public Service Commission who shall be appointed by the commission with consent of the Senate and who shall serve at the pleasure of the commission at a salary fixed by the commission, which salary shall not exceed the amount approved for such position by the legislature while in session. The executive secretary shall be the chief administrative officer of the Department of Public Service. In addition to his other duties he shall be responsible for accounting and budget control, procurement and contract management, management and program analysis, data processing, personnel management, and grants management for the department.
