RS 36:787 - Transfer of boards, commissions, departments, and agencies to the Department of Veterans Affairs A. The Veterans' Affairs Commission (R.S. 29:253) is placed within the Department of Veterans Affairs and shall perform and exercise its powers, duties, functions, and responsibilities as provided for agencies transferred in accordance with R.S. 36:802. B. The Department of Veterans Affairs (R.S. 29:251 et seq.) is hereby abolished and its powers, duties, functions, and responsibilities are transferred to the Department of Veterans Affairs and hereafter shall be exercised and performed as provided in Part IV of Chapter 22 of this Title.
