RS 37:1067 - Chemical agents used in examination, board authorization required Prior to the employment of topical ocular diagnostic pharmaceutical agents by a licensed optometrist, that licensed optometrist must submit to the Louisiana State Board of Optometry Examiners, satisfactory evidence that the optometrist has successfully completed courses approved by the board, in pharmacology as they apply to optometry, with particular emphasis on topical application of diagnostic pharmaceutical agents to the eye.
