RS 37:1472 - Purpose; legislative findings The legislature hereby declares that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the state to require the licensure and regulation of home inspectors. The purpose of this Chapter is to require qualifying criteria in a professional field in which unqualified individuals may injure or mislead the public. The provisions of this Chapter shall contribute to the safety, health, and welfare of the people of this state. Acts 1999, No. 61, §2.
