RS 37:156 - Suits by board; injunction The board shall have the right to go into court in the jurisdiction in which the provisions of this Chapter are being violated and, upon affidavit or other proof, secure a temporary restraining order, preliminary injunction, or permanent injunction restraining and prohibiting any violation of this Chapter and the performance of any work then being done or about to be commenced in violation of this Chapter. Any person found guilty of violating any provision of this Chapter in any such proceeding shall pay to the board a civil penalty in an amount determined by the court which may include the board's attorneys fees, costs, investigation, and other expenses, but in no event shall the fine be less than the sum of one thousand dollars.
