RS 37:2101 - Definitions Words and phrases defined below shall when used in this Chapter have the following meaning unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) 'Board of Examiners' and 'Board' means the Louisiana State Board of Examiners for Sanitarians. (2) 'Sanitarian' means a person who possesses the necessary qualifications as recognized in this Chapter to carry out inspectional, educational, and investigational duties in the field of environmental sanitation, or who serves as a consultant, supervisor, or administrator of programs and personnel involving such duties. (3) 'Sanitarian trainee' means a person who possesses the necessary academic qualifications as recognized in this Chapter for licensing as a sanitarian, but who does not possess the required year of experience and training in sanitation.
