RS 37:23 - Application for license, permit, certificate; social security number required A. Each board or commission authorized to issue a license, permit, or certificate under this Title shall require each applicant to include his social security number on the application. Except as provided in Subsection B of this Section, each board or commission shall maintain confidentiality of an applicant's social security number. B. Upon request, a board or commission shall disclose an applicant's social security number to the agency charged with implementing a program of family support in accordance with R.S. 46:236.1.1 et seq. which shall maintain the confidentiality of social security numbers.
