RS 37:2402 - Purpose and intent A. This Chapter is enacted for the purpose of protecting the public health, safety, and welfare, and to provide for state administrative control, supervision, licensing, and regulation of the practice of physical therapy in Louisiana. B. It is the intent of this Chapter that only individuals who meet and maintain prescribed standards of competence and conduct may engage in the practice of physical therapy as authorized by this Chapter.
