RS 37:3390 - Prohibited practice; injunctive relief A. No one may hold himself out as having a credential or status authorized by the provisions of this Chapter who is not so recognized by the board. B. The credential or status of anyone who fails to timely renew a status or credential authorized by this Chapter shall be deemed suspended unless and until renewed or reinstated as provided for by the board. Any person whose status or credential is suspended shall be prohibited from exercising the scope of practice provided for in this Chapter relative to the suspended credential or status. C. The board may cause an injunction to be issued in any court of competent jurisdiction enjoining any person from violating the provisions of this Chapter. Failure of the board to seek an injunction shall not constitute a waiver nor confer upon any person violating the provisions of this Chapter a right to engage in such conduct. D. In any suit for injunction, the board may impose on the defendant a penalty of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than one thousand dollars and attorney fees and court costs.
