RS 38:1576 - Title to pumping plants, canals, ditches, rights-of-way and other property Upon the dissolution, of the drainage district or subdrainage district, all pumping plants, canals, ditches, rights-of-way, and other property theretofore acquired by it, by donation, purchase, expropriation, or otherwise, shall revert to the owners from whom they were acquired, their heirs, successors, transferees and assigns. If the drainage district or subdrainage district has an outstanding bonded indebtedness, all pumping plants, canals, ditches, rights-of-way, and other property may, with the consent of the landowners owning ninety-five percent of the lands in the drainage district or subdrainage district, be conveyed to the bondholders, free and clear of any claims of the landowners.
