RS 38:1606 - Name of district Drainage districts created under this Part shall be known as drainage districts with any other name or number which the parish may designate. When created upon petition, the name suggested in the petition shall be designated by the parish governing authority unless the name conflicts with the name of an existing drainage district. The parish shall then exercise its discretion in designating the name of the drainage district.
