RS 38:1664 - Reorganization of existing districts permitted Any drainage district heretofore organized, or any drainage district now in process of organization, under any previous or existing law of the state, for the purpose of draining and reclaiming the undrained marsh, swamp or overflowed lands of the state that must be leveed and pumped in order to be drained and reclaimed, may reorganize, or any two or more drainage districts may consolidate and reorganize under the provisions of this Part. The reorganized district shall be deemed created under this Part, and entitled to the benefit of all the provisions of this Part.
