RS 38:2256 - Supplies not ordinarily obtainable from Louisiana firms In the purchase of said supplies not ordinarily obtainable from Louisiana firms, it shall be permissible to purchase from non-resident firms which are authorized to do business in the state of Louisiana, which maintain an office in the state where payment for supplies may be made, and are otherwise qualified to do business in the state; provided, however, that in the awarding of such contracts Louisiana firms shall first be given an opportunity to furnish said supplies and shall be given preference.
