RS 38:3086.27 - Board of commissioners; fresh water district A. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, each member of the board of commissioners of a multi-parish fresh water district from any parish with a population of not greater than twenty-three thousand seven hundred persons and not fewer than twenty-three thousand one hundred persons according to the most recent federal decennial census shall be appointed by the governor. B. Appointments made pursuant to the provisions of this Section shall be from a list of names submitted to the governor by the governing authority of each parish. Each list shall contain twice the number of names as the number of appointments to the board from that parish. Acts 2011, No. 241, §1.
