RS 38:401 - Levee boards and levee and drainage boards authorized to raise money for expenditure by the Mississippi River Commission The boards of commissioners of levee districts and levee drainage districts of this state may raise funds by taxes or otherwise to be expended by and under the direction of the Mississippi River Commission under the terms of the Act of Congress approved on the first day of March, 1917.* Acts 1985, No. 785, §1, eff.
